The NetCollab platform
One platform. Two included node roles. A clear view of your network.
Start with what your network needs to do. NetCollab hardware includes both guest access and monitoring software; choose the role for each available slot, then use Central to manage your deployment and explore its reports.
Welcome guests. Set the rules.
Guest Wi-Fi & Captive Portal is the UAC (User Access Control) role. Brand your portal, build access plans with time, speed and data limits, apply supported application policies, and offer vouchers or paid access through Stripe.
Choose this role when your priority is deciding who connects and how they use your shared connection.
Observe the traffic. Understand the experience.
Network Monitoring & QoX uses a transparent Layer 2 bridge placed at a useful observation point. It analyzes passing packets to produce performance statistics and diagnostic information; it does not store packets or export PCAP files.
For IT teams, scheduled and filtered reports, ICMP/DNS/UDP synthetic tests and node telemetry provide evidence for investigation. QoX means Quality of Experience. Explore the resulting reports and diagnostics in Central.
Slots determine what runs at the same time.
Xpresso has one slot: run UAC or dedicated monitoring, one role at a time. Both role options are included with the hardware.
Pro has four slots. Confirmed configurations include one UAC plus three monitoring roles, or four monitoring roles. Choose the hardware around your venue size, connected users, bandwidth and observation points.
Manage the deployment. Choose where the data lives.
NetCollab Central is a separate product that brings together the management frontend, APIs and reporting database. Use hosted Central Cloud, a separately sized server supplied for your organization, or a deployment in your own cloud.
A node purchase includes three months of Central Cloud and technical support. Subsequent Cloud subscriptions include support. Private Central infrastructure, software licensing, deployment and maintenance are scoped separately.
Build around your situation.
Guest access and monitoring are complementary capabilities. Start with the outcome you need, choose enough slots for concurrent roles, and plan Central around your reporting and data-control requirements.
